Played Gmod, downloaded and played with a lot of models, and yet this issue keeps coming up for me. Disk space.

My addon folder usually ends up getting pretty heavy. How much does yours weigh, and how do you downsize when it gets too heavy?

Sitting at 33.4 gigs right now; when necessary, I'll prune by getting rid of crap I never use, or crappy maps I forgot to get rid of sooner.

I keep thinking about doing that but then I think "But what if I need it later?!" I've even kept every single .rar or .zip (or whatever) file I've downloaded in a seperate folder.

Well yeesh, mine's only 35 gigs, but I got another 200 before my hard drive gets a little squished on space.
And that's 35 gigs spread unevenly over 4 different addons folders that I regularly switch between.

Cleaned it up a bit and it's 5.91gb. The best thing to do is to just go around deleting stuff you don't use anymore, also your toybox cache can get pretty heavy if you download loads off of it so empty that.

I'm actually surprised. Only 30.5GB. I've got giant texture packs that replace everything, and a shit ton of addons and models.

    I'm just below 60GB.

I don't keep it in my addons folder though. I have a folder on my desktop labeled "GMOD" where I keep everything. I never let the actual addons folder get bigger than 10GB to keep loading times low.

When I was a noob, I downloaded all files from .org, never cleaned up like my room and guess what. It reached 47 gigabytes and hundreds of megabytes.
From then on, I learned how and why should I clean things up.
