You're missing the real problem here. It starts with 1 big name company (activision) willingly exploiting and extorting their customer base for more money with the pretense of "specialized goodies", then other big name companies see that it's doing well and start doing the same. Now we have multiple companies doing this, and it slowly starts to become an "industry standard."

The moment it starts to become an industry standard to have to pay an extra monthly fee to get DLC that should be given to us for free as soon as it's released, we've entered the dark age.

This has nothing to do with AAA titles being shit, it has to do with the companies making these AAA titles now turning them into cash cows.

Oh wait. It doesn't fucking matter if a game is multi-platform. This "PC mastur raeccc1EE!!!" bullshit needs to end. Battlefield can work on all platforms. It's just a case of if can DICE pull it off, and if they can, will they stop listening to the fucking retards that constitute the community for Battlefield for long enough to actually fix important bugs in the game.

Multi-platform games work. There is nothing proving they don't anywhere. The problems arise when developers are rushed, lazy or just awful. DICE seem to be somewhere in the rushed/ lazy bit more recently. They were pushed to get the game out early. And now take years to fix problems in their games.

Besides BF1942, BF2, BF2142 where nowhere near perfect games. They were bug ridden shitfests for years. A reoccurring trend in DICE games. It takes them ages to get the game to the point you all seem to hold BF2 at.

As long as there aren't game-changing exclusives to the service and its a one-time payment (and the price is reasonable) then I don't really have a problem, it'll just sort of be like the Rockstar pass for RDR, LA Noire, and MP3, or the Saint's Row pass for the three main DLCs + a couple of smaller ones, or Uncharted's pass which just gives a discount on upcoming DLC.
