Hi everyone, as some of you may know, long ago I created my own Nuke for Gmod. Now it is back and vastly superior!

This is still a working progress (albeit far into development), and I would like to hear suggestions and criticisms.

    !!NOTICES!!
    !!!
    !!!
--THIS IS NOT TETA BONITA'S NUKE, IT WAS NOT MADE USING TETA'S CODE AND IT IS ALSO NOT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE VMF NUKE
--THE CLOUD IS USUALLY LIGHTER THAN IN THE FILM, BUT THE MAP'S LIGHTING MESSED AROUND WITH THE PARTICLES.
--THE VIDEO RUNS FASTER THAN IT WOULD IN GAME.
    !!!
    !!!
    !!END OF NOTICES!!

    Features are:
    -Left click explosion.
    -Radiation
    -Conical mushroom cloud.
    -Right click emp pulse

    Screens are in the link.

    Also thanks to:

-Teta Bonita (to stop people complaining about me stealing his idea like they did last nuke I release)
-Einstein, Curie and all responsable for 20th centuary nuclear technology.

    Future Plans:

-Add various methods of delivering nuke.
-Add "Star Wars" missile defense system.
    -Different sizes (tactical and novelty)

    Nuclear Yield:

    Using the formula:

    ((4 / 3) * pi * (12 000^3)) / ((4 / 3) * pi * (100^3)) = 1 728 000

I worked out my nuke has a yield of 1.728Mb or in other words the same explosive area as 1,728,000 explosive barrels!

Using the energy values for a tonne of TNT and a Barrel of oil:

    Barrel of Oil = 6.1178632 10^9
    Tonne of TNT = 4.18410^9

It can then be worked out the "real" equivalent power of the nuke.

    1 728 000 x (6.11700 / 4.18400) = 2,526,332

So my nuke is a 2.5 megaton device!

It's damn cool, but the thing i liked about the other nukes was the way it would undo welds, blowing contraptions all over the place. Does this have the same effect?

hmm, my WinRar says it's broken or something, it won't extract.

nevermind, got it to work now.

Make it destroy props that get a direct hit with in a radius or or say 1000 or so.

I would also like to see the constraint-breaking feature. Looking forward to the imaginative ways that this could be delivered.

this kicks ass, I think the flash when you set the nuke off should be a bit longer and it shouldn't just go away in a...well, flash, and it should be like in a gun form, but other than that crap it was AMAZING, I love the pull in

Thanks for all the positive feedback :).

    In reguards to certain comments:

It pulls objects back in due to the covection currents caused by the immense heat. Which is also what pushes the mushroom cloud upwards. Watch a video of a nuke on youtube and you'll see.

No, because I didn't know what I had to put to undo constraints, so it would require copying Teta.

While I could, if they get removed they can't get sent flying, I'll see what the consensus is for removing then props.

For that last point, I say make another version of your nuke, one that applies GCombat damage to affected props. But keep them seperate for the people that don't have GCombat and/or don't want the nuke destroying props.

    I like the GCombat idea.

Also, if it means copying TetaBonita to break constraints, do it! :argh:

It's good to finally see a nuke that doesn't use TetaBonita's effect, that's all that really matters to me.

Would be nice emp pulse would disable wire components, or mixes up their values.

As of now, I don't think it matters if you copy TetaBonita or not, they abandoned the nuke months ago, and you can restart development on it, I think people would be happy for that.

Why does it suck props in?

There should be a blast wave that launches shit outwards. :raise:

It should blow it out and suck it back in, which this does do.

The green has me stumped though.

The blast wave should be a bit stronger, and the green blast effect was a little weird but other than that Grade A+. LUA king'd.

Mess up wire, GCombat dmg, more powerful wave all noted for next release (though they may not be implemented by then).

The green is for cliched radioactivity.

And I have decided that a car bomb and a mortar as another two forms of delivery.

Actually, I loved it. I loved how accurate the explosion was, although, it would be nice for the mushroom cloud to last longer before it turned into smoke.. Like make it more firey when it starts to mushroom. Also, I loved how it was realistic in the fact that it sucked in props. But does it suck them in and pull them up? That would make it uber realistic.

Looks pretty nice, but needs more fire and the other features mentioned (undo constrains, set props on fire, maybe some sort of setting (gcombat damage on/off)...

I also think that "copying" stuff is rather dumb. Does that mean you won't make a user configurable setting how strong the bomb can be, only because Teta did it? That's like saying no company should produce any racing games, because there are so much racing games already.

Not quite... EMP pulse is secondary.
