Greetings, here is my first release on face punch, a brush based model of an M62 locomotive. I know, it`s not very clever to make something like that with VHE, but I can`t model for shit! So here it goes:

after about a week of hard work in the depot:

I prowdly present you my M62 locomotive!

it`s a recreation of this loco, M62 1639:

M62 is a soviet heavy freight locomotive made in the 60's, thousands of them were produced, so they were very popular locos in Russia and eastern Europe, now in most countries they are being replaced with electric locos, but in my country Lithuania they are still hard at work, this one is unique for its color scheme, that`s why I decided to make it.

.BSP and .VMF are included, do whatever you want with it just let me know, I`m interested where all trains go :). Enjoy!

It's incredible, but I just can't help thinking it would be better as a model :/ You should really learn :D it's not all that hard to start when you know what you've got to do.

Hammer isn't designed for modelling, but it's a good bit of work nonetheless.

And now to convert to a model...What? I didn't mention that I can import VMF's and compile them as models?

Heh. Make the textures all one image and send that too so I can UVW it properly.

I`m working on it now :) I`m having many problems with it, apparently I`ve reached the brush brush limit, now I`m optimising it.

This locomotive is mainly used for freight/maintenance (although in Vilnius I saw it pulling passenger trains) I will probably make a passenger locomotive some day, I have all the parameters of it, all I need is textures, I will probably photograph it for textures soon, when I will go to my towns station

It's a shame that it's all brushes shaped though. I mean the triangle count speaks for itself. Done as a model in the first place it could probably be like 3000.

all freight shunter drivers are very angry here :D so it would be quite hard to get textured pictures of them, in the meantime you will have to live with the shunter from episode 2 :)

So does it move by itself like rp_subtransit? Can you get into the train?

If so, have you provided a longer track to run on? Other then that, This is a very

Very detailedly shaped, like a model should be.
Brushwork isn't mean to do this really, seems you are also lucky it won't show any brushbased bugs.

I don`t know if it is possible to make it move since it has many func_detail`s and func_wall`s, and if you feel like you can make it move, you are free to do so, VMF is included in the download! :)

Thanks. I took these pictures for textures myself in my towns locomotive depot.

Locomotive drivers are mostly friendly, if they will see you photographing their train, they might eaven invite you to take some pics of the cab and engine, shunter drivers on the other hand will use their whole dictionary of swears and threats on you (atleast from my experience).
