Ok, so I have this school assignment where I talk about a random subject. I chose Minges. Since I've had little dealing with them (usually banning them the instant they do something suspect), I thought I'd hear what you Facepunchers think. What is it that characterizes a MingeBag?
...Also, this is probably going to get me banned...

Garry used it in order to force people to actually change their names back then.
Just like how you're seeing people with a monkey man scratching his nose as an avatar everywhere. It's to promote people.
As time passes by in GMod7, there has been a noob'ery' at a lot of multiplayer servers. Thrusters get removed by a bunch of players, ragdolls lying on each other's crotches while frozen in the air like frozen bastards. The players of GMod decided to call this Garry's Mod noob as a Mingebag, considering it's a name used in case if you're new to GMod. So it makes you a newbie or a noobie.
People nowadays will no longer have that name(if they do, they've done it on purpose) due to Garry's Mod that is now using your Steam Community profile nickname just like Team Fortress 2.
Mingebags are terrible immature people walking in each server, their goal; to piss the mature players off.

Actually "Minge" Came from indian women in birtain. Though most of us say cunt or pussy these days. So you could refer it to that. The real definition: "Word made up by gayray because he got bored of Unnamed so when diks came on and spammed they got called "mingebags""

Mingebags tend to use that name to scare people who take War of The Servers seriously, or to troll/grief a build server. The name 'Mingebag' is now used as an identity protector. So people wouldn't know who you are, unless they're the admins who memorize/wrote down your Steam ID.

And he instantly banned him!
and I asked why he did it and he answered

*chuckle* if a mingebag is a newbie I guess that I fit the bill. I try not to do anything that will cause issues for the server, but I have noticed that people tend to get pissed if I spawn anything larger than a dumspter. I've been cussed, kicked, called a mingebag and banned for trying to build a giant ballista out of telephone poles. What the fuck? What's up with that shit? Is building on a grand scale punishable by instaban? I'm not trying to be a prick, but if your machine can't handle rendering objects larger than a freakin dumpster, why the fuck are you hosting a server?

Heh, I remember my first day playing Gmod online.
I met some cool guy who built things with me. His name was Mingebag. After a while, he said he had to go and left.
Another Mingebag joined a few seconds later, and I kept asking why he came back so early, and asked him whether he wanted to build something. This one was rather quiet.
He eventually left, then another one came in and talked to be in a rather AOL-ish language that would be too smartness-fucking to post in here.

Nothing characterizes newbies. they are just new to the game and trying to work out what its all about. im sick of people taking the mic outta newbies just because they havent had 6 years experience of playing as you, OF course they havent! they just bought the game! you telling me as soon as you got the game you knew everything and was all "l33tzors". Stop Looking at newbs as if they are different to us. Because the last time people were thought differrently of the way they were. is when hitler ruled.

A mingebag is someone who doesn't know the meaning of the word "mingebag", for starters. Anyone with any experience in the Gmod community at all will be able to tell you the meaning of such a word.
There are some genuinely mature mingebags who want to play in a friendly fashion and have a good time, but they are rare, and it gets worse as they get younger. It's simply easier to do discriminatory bans against people who don't know how to play and expect everything to be simply spelled out for them without any effort on their own part.

Its not just a random player, admins can be a mingebag as well. For instance, roleplay. The admin is mayor and he decides people need a license to live in a home, and before anyone can get a license he orders a lockdown. If you go inside without a license you will be arrested, if you don't go inside you will be shot on sight (seeing how the cps are also admins and have massive guns). Then he just decides to kill everyone anyway. (true story. Pm me if you want me to bore you with more stories of mingebags)

If you started off gmod like me... you wouldn't be a mingebag. I was in a hotel and I remembered seeing gmod on steam and thought it looked stupid. So I log onto youtube and check it out. After that, I watched and watched and watched videos of how to build and whatnot. So overall, I never did start off as a mingebag...
Nowadays, I sometimes get bored enough where I will log on to one of my friend's server and mingebag all over, such as igniting (that's what I'm best at when it comes to minging).

A mingebag in the Garry's Mod equivalent to a noob or a douche bag. The name originated into Garry's Mod 9 when Garry Newman wanted a funny name other then unamed to describe a new player. By the time of Garry's Mod 10 (Buyable Version) the word mingebag was described as a troll,evil player,a killer of a game,and many other things. This generally came from War of The Servers fans and followers who believed the movie really did happen. But in truthful statement a mingebag is still what it has always been, a new player looking for a way to enter Garry's Mod peacefully but can't do to the sterotype and asshole admins who make the mingebag become a ruthless killer.

A Mingebag is a new player that joins a server without first changing his nickname. Since he's knew, he's going to want to try some stuff out. But since he hasn't changed his nick, people automatically hate him. If he spawns a tub and put wheels on it his first contraption, he gets flamed off the face of the earth. He then eventually quits GMod, and doesn't go back, because people treated him as shit.

Mingebag wasn't originated into Garry's Mod 9. It has pretty much always been there.

A mingebag in my opinion is not a noob, but more of a guy who /wants/ you too /ragequit after he blows up your contraption. He finds absolute joy out of your sadness.
