    This is the first official release of gore-mod. It's entierly recoded and fully modable. Modding guide is included.

    NOTES:

    * The inflator won't work on dead bodies.
    * You have to damage the bodies quite hard to get gore (a croosbow bolt should do it)
    * If you got old versions, remove them first.
    * You have to check "keep corpses" in the NPC menu.
    * This is for singleplayer only and won't work on players (atleast not for now)

    Features:

    * Limb decapping
    * Blood streams
    * Splatting

    It is now toggleable with the console command "goremod_enable" which should be 1 or 0!

    DOWNLOAD:

    Version 1.1 FULL:

    Bone showing file MODDING ONLY (sorry 'bout forgetting it) needs to be opened BOTH client-side and server-side:

    Have fun:D

    For all you guys that wants a multiplayer version, here is something that you should know. Since there is no EntityTakeDamage hook client-side, I would have to force all the ragdolls server-side, which in turn would be very nasty for the LAG:( So unless anyone can find a solution for this, I'll keep working on the singleplayer version.

    EDIT:

    I haven't tested this in multiplayer, and I don't think it will work either since it only applies on server-side ragdolls:(
    Might make something which forces all ragdolls to be server-side, although it would lag like hell.

    EDIT2:

    I'd love to see people making mods for this. Slight lua knowledge is required though.

    Just a quick question. Does this Gib enemies when you shoot them or only when you blow them up with an explosive? Other than that it sounds awesome!

    Hey i noticed that in the lua/autorun folder I found a folder called client as well as server. Does this mean that this mod is client side as well as server side?

    The limb decapping can only be done clientside, that's why there are two folders.

    You should make a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleaver_%28knife%29 or something for role-playing, so someone could be a mad butcher, imagine being a cop as you and your buddies check out his butcher shop...and find chopped up bodies.

    That would be a cool feature for npcs when you throw a grenade at them and if they're close enough it blows off some of their limbs.

    Just found a way to make great gore. Make 2 wheels 1 on the the floor and another above it. make they spin in different directions, weld legs on the floor`s one, and hands on the other one. Just remembering, need torque 100%.
    Turn then up. Smash! You have extreme gore
    Any way of make fractures (???), so the bending parts have no limit at all when fractured, like in Ep2, when the wormy thing (can`t remember the name now) bend the rebel corpose with great violence.

    Great mod. Is there any way you could make it so that when you shoot a part of a living NPC with a high power weapon they'll die but the part will be sheared off?

    Impossible, sorry. In ep2 it was scripted with an animated model.

    Also: they're called advisors;)

    DO I have to remove the semi-release or will this overwrite it?

    It's probably best if you remove it.

    I actually had the same question as the guy above me. So yeah, does it work on players?

    That reminds me, do player/npc bodies explode upon impact after falling from great heights? You know, like what would happen back in Half Life 1 when you jumped off of really tall places. It's just not very satisfying jumping off of skyscrapers or out of planes only to land and die (mp_falldamage 1 enabled of course) without a huge splat.

    Nice work, it's finally released. Hoping you can eventually get that blood spurting effect that npcs have when shot in SMOD.

    How do you set the amount damage needed to start gibbing? And how can I make the blood splat on impact happen with less force?

    Haha, I welded thrusters on the hands and feet of a ragdoll, each facing opposite directions. Needless to saw, it was bloody and awesome. :D

    This almost can't get any better. Except for a few things:

    First, most of the gibs don't dissapear for me. I don't know if this is intentional. Either way, it can make things really laggy. It would be better if the gibs faded away.

    The gibs can also get a bit laggy when a lot of them spawn at once. I would suggest fewer gibs, but maybe make them bigger.

    I want to be able to gib headcrabs!

    Also, it would be pretty cool of the ragdolls could spawn with limbs and things already broken off. Like if I shoot kleiner in the arm with my magnum, I want to see him fall down with and arm already missing.

    Also also, it would make sense if all welds and other constraints were removed from a limb when it's blown off.

    And like Dylan said, a console command or a checkbox to toggle it on/off would be nice. Otherwise I would keep this.

    Finally, it looks like Magnusson can't be gibbed.

    Other than that, :krad: mod.

    Is there a way to turn it off, like a console command? Because if there was, this would totally have my download.
