I sent her an email during the weekend and she responded in the afternoon on Monday (PST).

I then got the gifts the week after.

I had sent her a message during the afternoon (Central time) on Tuesday(it was mainly asking questions), and I still have yet to get a reply.
Someone in the Episode 3 Discussion thread said
I was thinking they set their spam filters to block anything with "Episode 3" or "HL3" in it
I was thinking, if that's true, then Gabe got none of my messages and neither did Mary.
If that's so, I'll rewrite the letter to Mary, but leave out "Episode 3" in it.
    But I doubt that's true.

I can't imagine they'd filter that out. I mean I can understand why, but I'd be a little surprised if they really did that.

Or she's just a genuinely nice person that handles the massive flux of emails/questions that Valve gets.

Which I think is more accurate. She seems super nice!

Lets see, around 7 for gold, lets say those 10 games were around 10 which gives us 100 and adding those other 60 games which we will price around 5 which in total gives us around 407.
Keep in mind that some of these games might have been allot more then 10.

When I meant bundle it was actually "5 for 5 games".
It would be about 300, which is about the prize of a console and one or two games, so I don't consider myself spending too much.

Subject: [Contact Form] hi! just curious: how big an email pile am i adding onto, here?

I've been watching a couple sites, eagerly anticipating the next update, and it seems like everybody and his dog writes to you guys. Some folks even seem to write to you on a constant basis.

How on earth do you keep up with that? I have a hard time imagining there's a guy hired solely to read these (gotten the impression from articles that nobody's assigned to a single thing), or that there's an auto-reply (your freakishly close contact with the community, etc). Are you forced to read just a small fraction? If so, I guess I just wasted another guy's chance to talk to you. Maybe it was about some huge gamebreaking bug!

(ps: if I can take the opportunity: what's the current stance on voicelines? that is, did you feel you've wrapped up with the engineer update, do you intend to add domination lines for the medic and heavy at some point, a vague "maybe if it's convenient and nothing of higher priority is happening", or a "probably best not to say so at the moment"?)

    Hey, Gentleman.

These emails go to the whole team and we all take a stab at reading them and replying. It's just one of many ways that we keep in touch with what's important in the community. Sometimes we don't reply directly in email because the most valuable way for use to reply is to do research on a bug/suggestion and implement positive changes in the game.

That said, I do have some thoughts on the emails the reach us:

    - Email us, not Robin. He just just forwards TF specific email to the team anyway.
    - Politeness counts!
    - We used to get a lot of awesome email from Addey Leeds, but he's not kept in touch lately. If you know his whereabouts, tell him we miss him.

    -Jeep

Addey Leeds, if you're out there:
Your loved ones miss you. Come home.

    Hello, upstanding young gentleman.

We really do read all the emails people send us, but we don't always answer all their questions...
