Looks quite interesting, the architecture is quite good but the mountains make me feel a bit iffy. Good job on a whole though! :)
Looks good. Got my download.
I love your architecture, great work. I can't download it atm so I bookmarked it for later.
The mountains don't fit in very well. Maybe some other textures?
Nice map, but it would have been nice if you packed it with a node graph so people don't have to build it when they first start up the map.
Approved your article. But I needed to rewrite the description. This is your original one:
Needed quite a bit of grammar and punctuation improvement.

Sure as hell is.Xhizors posted:
Looks nice, a video would be good.
Xhizors impresses me again :3. Good work, looks nice. Got my download
Ohhh my god. Please, please, please change that circular roof opening to something a lot easier to build through, like a rectangle. If you don't I will fucking hate you forever for making such a beautiful map with such a gross inconvenience. Please and thank-you.
NICE!
this looks like a fun map to have a tank war!
:jaw drop:
You got my download
when I click on the thread I thought it would be a shitty construct re texture but it is a very pimped construct mapping kinged
Garrysmod downloads are down :(.
Why do you keep using that repetive cliff texture in your maps? Other than that, good.
You just took over the "remake construct" business!
This map = Pure Awesomeness!
Xhizors is the man!
I think it's because the game basically is losing some of the textures needed to display the map textures properly.
Yeh sorry about that. I was in a rush to get somewhere lol.
Looks awesome, but I wish people would host maps in places other than gmod.org. That site downloads ridiculously slow for me.
Hello, whats all this then? This looks like a great map.
You have got my download.
C:\Users\-\Desktop\gm_xhs_construct.zip: The archive has an unknown format or is damaged!
Please upload again or somewhere else :-(
I hate those Construct maps that people make.
though this one is kinda nice, awesome even.
Downloading.
And the mountains fit fine for me.
IDK why people say they don't.
Still downloading D:
I'll Try it
(No Promises)
Over 1200 downloads in just one day speak for a good map.
I'll test it, and probably make it the new default map on my server. It looks very well done so far.
Just one note:
Could you please pack the materials into the bsp? It's a 5 minute job and saves me (as server administrator) the time to add every file via resource.AddFile() in lua and also saves my player's time in downloading every single file by there own.
One bsp-file is always better than one bsp file and 50 materials, sounds, models etc.
Tools to bsp-pack are for example packrat
Also:
I found a leak: http://39051.vs.webtropia.com/images...rrors/leak.png
And a missing texture: http://39051.vs.webtropia.com/images...ng_texture.png
And the map is too bright - It looks much too artificial: http://39051.vs.webtropia.com/images...too_bright.png (Note: I do not have bloom or HDR enabled - I don't even want to know, how bright the map looks like with it enabled)
Thanks for that. If this map is popular, which it seems like it will be, i will make another final version that fixes gliches and includes suggested ideas from the community.
Do i need ep. 2 for all the textures and stuff?
No. All the textures you need are in the file.
This map looks very good. Reminds me of the good ol' days of megastruct and CbC. You definately got my dl.
How come the filenames say those pictures are PNG, but they're actually BMP?
Because their are bmp, named with png extension - That easy. (ms-paint is a massive failure - and anyway: who cares?).
I downladed the map but the ground and buildings are checkered pink and black. What to do?
The 'iffy' mountains mean that the map's author took full advantage of the EP2 "long distance" skybox crap. He really does know what he's doing!
great looks
More comments people. Even if you just say i like the map lol
Do not only "install the map" by copying the bsp to /maps. Also install all materials. That's why I urged Xhizors to bsp-pack the materials - I tried it on my own, but for some obvious reason, using packrat failed including the files.
