Some footage of Beyond Good and Evil 2 was leaked onto the Internet a short time ago-

I believe that this is in-game footage, judging by the repeated jumping animations and the running-into-the-wall animations. if it is, then GOOD LORD WHAT AMAZING GRAPHICS!!!

It's like... some mutant child of Mirror's Edge and Assassin's Creed. (you can't help but draw parallels between them, either)

    BUT IT'S SEXY!

The first one was released on PS2 at least, so I'd figure PS3, 360 and maybe PC later on.

this is definitely prerendered with all the cinematics n such, like doing a jump from a building to another building, and at that moment have the bullets wizz by... it all looks wayy to planned out, also, for something as stunning as this, they would have mentioned that it is live gameplay..

    BG&E was sadly overlooked.

    Great game, but shit marketing.

It's bizarre, though - there's only humans in the cutscene. Did Hillys go through some ethnic cleansing or something?

I think it's in game. The graphics aren't that amazing if you compare them to RAGE or crysis. If the video quality was better you would all see it.

You must have been living under a rock (or having a console) to think it's impossible that it's not pre rendered.

BUT : It could be because I don't see how a gameplay footage like that can pop up out of nowhere. I think it's a viral ad.

    It's a concept trailer. Of course it's pre-rendered.

This looks very Mirror's Edge-ish, only in third person.

It's not the graphics that's making people think it's a pre render. Looks at the flow, the camera movements, the behavior of the people, bullets etc...

    It's prerendered.

Games don't have such advanced motion blur and lighting yet.
And it be a miracle if you'd see a camera that acted that well in a game.

Mirrors Edge sure got close to it with the blur and stuff.
But I too doubt this is in-game. But who knows, we may be in for a surprise.

And the sexy lighting. I'll admit the lighting in ME was quite a handful.

Even if it is only a cutscene, I'm hoping it's representative of gameplay.

    Pre-rendered or not, looks good.
I don't want this though, I didn't like Beyond good and evil 1 that much.

I'm not sure if this is BG&E 2. I mean seriously, guns? No aliens? That's not BG&E's style.

That said, if this is BG&E 2, I will jump for joy... because it reminds me of Mirror's Edge, which is one of my favorite games of all time.

Also, my input into the prerendered-vs.-gameplay: The effects could be added in separately, after actual footage was captured, I think. But I do agree that it looks a little bit too advanced to be in-game footage...

Umm... That's my point. In the original BG&E, everyone used lasers and stun-sticks, probably to be kid friendly. So the sudden inclusion of realistic guns seems so... out of place. Unless that's not what you're talking about. Your post is rather vague...

I don't see what was so amazing about that video that makes everything think it's prerendered besides the animations. Everything else graphically seemed a little above average, but not unobtainable.

Anyways, if that's the way the gameplay behaves, I think I'll need to up my coordination, because that's some nifty handiwork.

Agreed. If a game isn't exactly what the hype promised, it doesn't magically turn into the woarst game evar >:( In my opinion the jumping and fighting was very entertaining.

Even though it seems like it would be a pain in the ass to have a camera like that in game, I think I would vastly enjoy it. Something different.
