    This reminds me of the time i found Case Zero's Files in dead rising 2 files, i was like:
    NO, WAY! and later i was like FUCK THIS im gonna push random buttons
    later i founded myself playing bionic commando
    that was the last time i ever played Dead Rising 2, besides, i sincerely dont give a fuck about case west

    Dead Space 2 uses TG4D textures :P
    Rick already releases a converter, but it's alpha I think, does not work...
    Just use TexMod, so you can choose the fileformat of the textures :)
    Actually, I don't understamd how to work with texmod. I choose "Logging mode", select Dead Space 2.exe, choose the format, output folder, choose the button, click "Run", the game started and nothing. :(

    im sorry my technique to making a good map is so alien to you... instead of already criticizing it on its brightness why don't you look at the physical similarity of this map to the video, aka the window tables etc. other props will be added while in garrysmod.

    nodraw? if i did that in nodraw everyone including me probably wouldnt recognize what the map is...

    i was going to edit it and post an update... but i have a life and some things came up so im probably not going to get to this today, tell you what, tomorrow ill make the final, and illl post it here, and you'll like it...

    and then meaby when foster's and isaac's straightjacket models are out ill make the video... MEHDI is working on a foster model btw guys

    i mean yeah looking at it now its not the gold award map, but you need to have SOMETHING to work off of i mean really.

    Well everyone has their own skill level on making maps, at least he's doing something with Dead space theme. And aliensoldier as well, last time i saw.

    Please lets not go into an argument about "i can do this better", if your going to help out with Dead space please do, other wise, this isn't going anywhere.

    Everybody has his own way how to create maps. Some people first texture everything with Nodraw, some other use placeholder-textures and there are Level Designer applying textures directly on a new brush...
    And nexus is right, everyone also has their own skill on mapping, so if ya do this since your 8 years old Instant Mix, don't tell a beginner his maps would be bad. I'm pretty sure, the first map YOU have created was just a pile of simple geometry stuff like boxes :P

    edit: just read ur post, wow, jumping to conclusions, thats exactly what i did, and more, i made not only testmaps, but i used combinations of things to get outcomes not yet created...
    forgot to mention, i have literally about meaby 1,029 maps in this pc im using right now alone, iv made MANY maps, and really who are you, why the hell would you just come to this thread and try to start fights, seriously... also plus guys, iv decided i will release the ishimura map in a week, altho, its just the outside, no interior. same exact thing i used for my twinkel star remake...

    true but im kinda of the movie maker / map maker that comes here gets excited from all the dead space stuff, makes a movie, and shows you guys :D im working on the FOSTER scene map right now, added about 200 props that make it beast, and some visual effects to make it creepy :D

    Looks like the light the door creates is much too big O.O
    Did you used a "light"-entity for that thing? If yes, you really should use a "env_sprite" it looks much better :)

    The room seems to be much bigger than in the game.
    It looks almost twice as big. I'm pretty sure the area Isaac can actually walk on is like a small corridor, not a complete room.

    I guess he need to spend the time to work on it better, but not everyone the same. I understand you do yours differently, but, can't expect others to do good maps, everyone has different skills at it. I'm pretty sure i do horrible at it

    Why isn't anyone allow to show wip? i mean isn't that what others are doing here? even on models too, all wip, and people show. Just something they like to show off over as they progress. I don't see what's wrong with showing wip to begin with, even if it looks bad, that's where people would come in and make suggestion and help out where to fix.

    But seriously, if you're going to do any Dead space maps please do, other wise, hunter and aliens are only making any difference doing the maps for the community.

    Looks good so far, just think it need to be more smaller, narrow wise. And a little bit more brighter, the shadow area is a bother. And perhaps try using some of the DS2 textures, if anyone can provide.

    Looks alright as of now, but I have to ask - is it mostly Placeholder as of now? I suppose once somebody release a whole modelpack for DS2 you'll use the assets.
