it's because people are idiots. I loved his 'shush' skill; A face appeared in the center of the scream saying 'shush' then everything exploded. Awesome.

When you get to Duriel, the first thing to do is to make a portal, then fight Duriel, when your health is low enter the portal, get full HP, revive/re-summon, buy new potions and get back in there, but when you get back open a portal again, fight Duriel and repeat. Also remember to have enough TP Scrolls, otherwise you're screwed.
And those anti-freeze potions are very usefull against Duriel.

I don't know then, I did it like that (takes a lot of time and deaths though). But maybe it was usefull since I was a Necro and I needed to re-summon, maybe other classes don't benefit much from that trip to the town, since they don't summon.

Act 2 is easy as hell.
Act 3 is the hardest, imo.

God damn Fetishes and Flamethrowing Shamans.

what? Act 2 is long and boring and annoying. You need lightning resistance to deal with the scarabs and the wizards are annoying as hell.

I actually loved Act II, I have always liked the theme of it. And I liked Act III too.
The one i really hated was Act I, it was so damn depressing. And Act IV was not much better either, but at least we got nice gear and the final (not so final actually) boss.

Act V was alright, but I did not really like all that snow.

I'm a little worried that my gear is so shit at Act 2... It's been a long time since i've played and i'm not sure what gear is considered 'good'.

Well I once made it through Act II with a grey halberd with 3 holes filled with simple chipped gems, so I think you have much better gear than that.
That was when I first started playing, and I thought that was the best possible, I reached the end of Act IV with a stupid spear with some gems (no wonder why I never got to the boss with that equipement).

Anyways, you should have everything blue, maybe one or two yellows if you have been lucky, and maybe even as far as a gold or green (of course this excludes quest items).

Also, 3 rejuvenation potions in the cube give you a full rejuvenation potion, which restores 100% of your health and mana instantly. They can be extremely useful in boss-fights.

And do you have the expansion and the latest patches? A lot of stuff changes with the patches.

Yeah, I have the expansion etc. I've got some golds and blues.. a shit ton of gems but no sockets to use them on. I managed to get hold of a mana/health 2% leech gem but have nothing to put it on :( But yeah, this is a Diablo 3 thread so i'm gonna stop now ;)

Mephisto was really easy as a Necromancer, Iron Maiden killed him quite quickly, and that double damage curse was great against single, powerful enemies too. But he was hard with the Driud I remember.

I guess you could find a level 99 to help you, it would only take a few seconds for him. There must be someone willing to help on Bnet.

I'm a necromancer, but unfortunatly not schooled in Curses at the moment. My main was a Necro too, but this time I'm going mainly poison/bone

Well the one that curses the target to take 200% damage is the first one in the curse tree, so if you can spare one point to put into it you won't regret it. Also if you have a mercenary then his damage will really start to be seen with that curse.

Altough I'm not sure if it doubles the magical (fire, cold, poison, lightning and such) so it may be useless to you if your primary damage comes from magic, although it will really help your mercenary's damage.

That is much better than a WoW-ish cartoony style.

And I'm not completely sure if I will buy this game, looks good, but not Very good.
That "remastered" image is dark as fuck. If you want to play the game like that then just disable color on your monitor and lower the brightness.

    Yeah I hope so too.
But we are closing to mid-2009 and there is still no hnt about the SC2 relese date, so it will probably be released near Christmas, and therefore Diablo 3 will be released no sooner than 2010, maybe even mid-2010 (or if we are really unlucky, fall 2010).

Well then D3 will be in 2010.
Hopefully when they said "not before SC2" they meant only the first part of SC2, otherwise we've got a long wait in front of us.

Diablo 3 will get my cousins back into gaming, they're both over 20, one of them has a wife and a kid, and they only played Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2 and some other games, but mainly those two.

They said that when they saw Diablo 3 was coming they were thinking 'oh snap we should get some new rigs D:'
