I use to have a business of building and selling computers before the recession, most of the kids 16-12 wanted a 300 buck PC "for their parents" but they really just wanted mom and dad to get a new pc that could play CoD4 or CSS or wow

If that was the case, why would I specify that it doesn't need to do more then just do emails and surf?

An MSI wind barebone, 2 gigs of 533 RAM, Intel ATOM at 1.6 GHz, an 80 gig HD and an 8x BLU RAY reader. I'd have to calculate power usage though, it is only a 65 watt PSU.

An extra 5 bucks will get you 160 GB of HD space from the same brand (Western Digital.)

I would say 65 watts is enough for an atom/2GB 553.

Also, ditch the Blu-Ray drive. Nobody needs one yet.

I just can't lower the price anymore without significantly impacting the quality. (Like the PSU; I could make it $15 cheaper... if you wanted it to explode. Or I could get a mobo that's 10 dollars cheaper with a truly fail built-in GPU)

I sort of did that on purpose, I thought to include a Blu-Ray drive incase the person likes to play Blu-Ray movies. If not then you get a less expensive build that is just as useful.

It may be. I wouldn't be sure of that yet. I do, however, know a few people (myself not included) that actually use Blu-Ray.

I use the ECS Elitegroup GF8200A ATX motherboard. It hasn't given me any problems.

I use a 550W Rosewill. I run a 95W CPU and a 1Gb GTS 250. No explosions.

I'm using a Rosewill 750W, and it's worked perfectly so far, Also has a blue LED that lights up my feet .
I had to change some stuff at the last minute to account for shipping, and here we are. No splosions.

...and then you have the people who'd rate the case as perfect because is has lights and a window and a door and other unnecessary things that do nothing to the actual function of the case and even if the case had partly fallen apart and had the airflow of a brick they'd still claim it's the best thing since sliced bread

Thats not why I like it, it does it's job very well, I don't have a window on my case, but I like being able to see under my desk, because I keep stuff there. My case isn't perfect, and neither is my PSU, but they do the job to suit what I need. I said it's WORKED perfectly so far, not that it is instantly more powerful and likable because of the blue LED. It's just a nice touch. I would say Rosewill is more bandwagon hate than actual problems. If I built another computer, I wouldn't mind using one again.

I bought one and it blew at post, the RMA took 3 weeks that one worked for 2 monthes the died

That's just unlucky. I've built at least 20 computers with Rosewill power supplies, and none of them have had any issues.
