I have the two front fans on mine functioning as intake fans. The side vent is open and the rest are exhaust fans.

Isn't that default anyway..
I know this is a little off-topic but i'd rather ask here than start a new thread. Is the Phenom II 955 worth the extra money over the 940?
Yes it is.
Well I just came back from watching an hour of TV to find it had crashed at some point so I'm going to go fix my fans now.
Why would you change them in the first place?
They were loud :P
And I really wonder what the blue is on this:
Note it is in Celsius.
Use hwmonitor.
And do what with it?
Monitor temperatures.
Measure temperatures.
I may not be right, but is Temp 3 the Northbridge?

Ninja'd.
Well I like SpeedFan because it has graphs, so thanks but no thanks.
Well I like HWMonitor because it's more accurate.

HWMonitor could do with being a bit more informative though
Is there even a way to minimise it to the tray like speedfan? I never found one, but then again I didn't really look that hard
I 2nd this. Works wonders on my E8500 @ 4GHz, keeps 1.35 volts cool....god damn old stepping.

Core temp is one of the best temperature monitoring programs. HWMonitor is good too, mainly use it for GPU and voltages.
Yeah, CCF is nice.
prisma I'm not sure but didn't you say you had one?
Yeah.
Nice cooler, just a little annoying to get on.
i used it on my old 9950 build, it almost snapped the mobo. at first i though it was low quality, since it looked cheap. but then i tried it i went from 54 c idle, to 20c (in the winter).
I've heard that installation aon AM2 mobos is really a bitch.
nah, they are easy
I mean for the CCF.

the bottom of my heatsink bent in from the pressure of the cpu on the tubes
Alright I read around and I don't want the CFF, too many problems to deal with.
Any other recommendations? I want a GOOD cooler!

So far my choice.
Xigmatek HDT-S1283.
Uh no thanks XD
Hey I am looking at this Corsair H50 and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy it? I can't find it on Tigerdirect or Newegg as of yet.
Hey dude, I have the same processor over-clocked to 3.6 with a cool-it liquid cooling system. No crashes and temps are always low. The one I have cost around $100 on another site because it wasn't available, but it's $80 now on their site: http://shopping.coolitsystems.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1786/.f. I know I could probably go much higher, but I like the stability so far. Hope this helps ;).
I don't mean to be a buzzkill but I have mine at 3.6 on the stock cooler.
Maybe I have a newer revision?
Probably a newer stepping.
What are your temps like?
