Bleh. CA Crane stocks are trash. The clip on the buttplate of mine, the part that snaps into the stock itself, snapped off. Granted, there's still another clip on the opposite side...but it's not going to stay in as well. It's really always been shit though, the wobble is annoying. This just makes it worse.
Time to get that CTR stock I've been eying, give my gun a smooth shim job, and invest in a Lipo.

How well do airsofts work as replicas? Like A&K and Matrix stuff. Stupid california banned replicas but allows airsoft.

What do you mean by "work as replicas"? Airsoft guns are usually considered replicas since they are 1:1 scale with the real stuff.

What?! I've got an airsoft replica M4, at a glance it looks exactly like the real thing. It even has a mock suppressor (not that you can tell it's mock from looks alone), real steel suppressors being illegal in California. I even play airsoft with some law enforcement officers, not even they have orange tips on their guns.
California gun laws are ridiculous. Just treat your airsoft gun like a real gun. As long as your gun isn't seen anywhere outside your local airsoft field you'll be fine.

Minus the orange tip law as nobody follows that law anymore anyway. Now I'm not saying, "Just because nobody else follows that law you shouldn't eiter," but really. Nobody will give you shit about it on the field, and nobody will know about it if it's just in a gunbag in your home. Keep orange tape at hand or even a spare flash hider if need be.

At that cheap my first question is, "how bad does it creak?" But hey, maybe it's not bad. As long as the externals are solid, nobody keeps their sniper rifle stock anyway.

I still wouldn't buy a sniper rifle from them. Especially when theirs much better alternatives like the Bar 10/VSR 10 out there.

I have a Jericho 941 CO2 pistol, non-blowback. I've had that for maybe a year or two, and I've never had to lube it or preform any maintenance on it. It still shoots the day it came out of the box, provided some paint is missing, but that happens in battle.

TBH the media generally is scared of airsoft here in Canada. I've only seen one or maybe two other stories about airsoft in Canada. Its hardly even legal to own a airsoft gun.

How the flying fuck are states of matter relevant? If anything, they PROVE your point Dark, CO2 doesn't come out as a liquid (after a few shots), which makes it one of the driest gasses! Propane and green gas come out as a vapor of varying thickness, especially when silicone is added (Which it is in green gas, and which i should be in propane if you know what you're doing) which keeps the gun lubricated to some extent.
Co2 is a much higher pressure gas that doesnt have silicone added to it. This means that it is a VERY dry gas, and you Co2 guns will need to be lubricated on a regular basis. The reason you get so many shots is because Co2 is at such a high pressure in the powerlets. These high pressures result in shorter overall gun life, but much higher power.
As for price, you best be trolling if you think Co2 is cheaper than propane.
Co2 powerlets cost roughly 50 cents each, and holds 12 grams of gas.
A 14oz can of propane costs 3 dollars and holds roughly 380 grams of gas.
Basic math will tell you that you are wrong.

Yeah, 3500 dollars isnt really that much to spend on a hobby, especially for an adult. Most hobbies cots much more than that.
Airsoft is actually a REALLY cheap hobby compared to most things.

Well I'm curious, what are you planning on doing with this replica? I live in California, and let me tell you, so long as you are responsible, and smart, it doesn't matter what you own. As an owner of both airsoft and real-steel guns, you need not worry about getting caught, or legality issues as long as you don't do something retarded.

Just a collector. Deactivated guns and certain replicas are banned in California, but is A-OK.

All of em are too "noisy" for me to want to wear them, if there were some more simple designs i'd be all over em.

Well yeah, as long as you're not doing anything stupid with said firearm/replica, it isn't a problem. As someone who owns.. Less than legal firearms in the state of California, I can speak from experience saying that as long as you are careful/responsible, no trouble should come your way.
