I recently bought some earmuffs to use while playing drums, with the plan that I would use in-ear headphones underneath the earmuffs to play music to play along with. However due to the tight nature of the earmuffs, the headphones are pulled out when I put the earmuffs on. So I either need a soloution to stop the headphones coming out (they don't stay in my ear very well anyway) or I need protective earmuffs that also play music.

    Can anyone help?

Maybe get giant headphones instead, just a thought.

Get some noise cancelling headphones maybe? Sounds like what you're after.

Just what I was looking for, thanks! I have those same Vic Firth plain earmuffs at the moment. Aww shit they're like 70, it's these or bass drum skins.

Take a pair of regular ear protectors, like those which would be used in gun ranges, and slap a pair of any sennheiser drivers in them, hot glue will do you.

Those only cancel static, ambient noises. It wouldn't work with drums.
