Were currently working on a mod called Industrial Void, a horror puzzle mod and we need some help, and seeing as this is the programming section, and the lua section is wrong I asked here.

Well our mod team needs a weapon coder and general modding of code. We need a few weapons coded, like a lighter and a few modifications to pre-suit gordon.

Example: Were not giving the player the suit but still want the ability to sprint, we also don't want a HUD to show up (other than weapon switching)

Sorry if this is the wrong section, though i would still like some help.
Please don't tell me to learn to code myself for I already know almost everything else I need and really don't have the time to learn.

    Thanks in advance,
    Janooba

Should be in Games section. Also, do you have anyone else besides yourself? Who's "we"?

We, the mod team. I'm the most qualified out of all of them to learn coding. But I just don't have the time

The coder is normally the core part of the team, and trying to hire one for a mod almost never works seeing as if the coder gets bored of the project then the project falls apart.

Not trying to troll, just stating the facts. I've seen so many threads on facepunch from 'ideas' guys who need the coder to do all the hard bits while they come up with all the ideas.

Well it's not like I'm not doing anything challenging, but I know what you mean.

    What do you guys suggest?

Learn to code. You probably won't find anyone willing to be the main programmer for your mod, that's the sad truth.

/me crosses off the "Programming" section from his list of helpful sections.

    Time to look elsewhere.

That obviously shows you don't have the dedication to see something through.

This is not a request forum. This is a place of learning and discussion about programming methods, techniques, and other related materials. This is also a place of elitism and, indeed, the most unhelpful section to ever exist.
