Looking very snazzy there Holliday.Hello. My first post here. I have been reading the forums for just a couple months & came across this thread. I will be attending a STALKER themed Airsoft Event next month on March 24th. I wanted to create a nice Stalker loadout for it. Here it is...
The mask was created by gutting a standard 3M respirator, painted OD & than sprayed with copper paint to appear rusty. The hose is a standard russian gas mask hose. The 02 Tank is PVC. I am wearing a standard Flight suit, with an attached hood sew on. The chest rig is Pantac & I have some various pouches added. The Rifle is a painted Echo 1 Ak. Hope you like it.

Thank you for all the "Winner" votes & the welcomes. I will be adding a few little touches to the loadout & will post them up when they are completed.

When you take more pictures try these things:
No flash. EVER. Tactical Gear is made of Nylon which looks RETARDED with flash.
Take it outside and get someone to take the pictures for you. It'll look much, much better.
Lastly, the loadout is great but maybe you could wear a mask or something? Like goggles + a balaclava would make it look even better. Seeing your face is kind of odd.

Heres my merc and clear sky impressions. They are still a work in progress. And, the chest rig im wearing is the only one I have at the moment. A Russian Lazutchik is on its way to my place, as well as a CYMA 105.

Yes sir, its a MSA riot control mask. You poke it and it "deflates". Made out of a high resistance "rubber" tested a 400 fps AEG against it. No damage whatsoever. It's ready to rock.

They have an outsert? I just use my balaclava. Keeps my Costa inspired beard at bay.

Yes, i have a similar mask, the MCU-2 mask. It works very much the same way, even looks very similar(but i can tell a few differences). I can tell you that you're gonna want the ballistic shield. It just sits right over the rubber inner casing. It's not that safe to go running around without a ballistic cover.

Haha thanks Kawaii, its for my real rifle. I'm trying to get a hold of some plum or bakelite midcaps for my incoming gun. And the ballistic outsert looks cool, ill try to get my hands on one.

Was thinking that I'd never seen an airsoft mag like that, but now it makes sense. I'd suggest G&P or MAG mids if you don't know what to get, but you've probably heard that a good 20 times by now.

they're fairly inexpensive on ebay, totally worth it
my outsert is decently thick, really solid, plus it makes a loud sound when it gets hit so i can instantly tell when i've gotten shot

Whats a good hooded jacket to use for a stalker loadout? When I google search I come up with a bunch of gay guys wearing ultra tight 800 dollar hoodie/jacket hybrids with fur hoods

Search for anoraks with hoods, they seem to fit the bill for a loner loadout.

Very nice photos, and I especially love the nut on a cloth as I'm currently watching Сталкер, but as a STALKER purist the use of a GP-5 saddens me as it doesn't fit the game. Still great kit and photography though.

I never see medical kits in Walmart that are huge printer paper sized packages that are orange, blue, and yellow.

I think a GP-5 fits better than some of the masks in the game, since the mercs and bandits use a prototype version of the M40 that wasn't mass produced and probably never left the US.
Not to mention GP-5s are everywhere in ex-soviet countries.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's not realistic or practical, just doesn't fit the look of the game. Same reason why an LR-300 is a good STALKER weapon but a normal AR15 isn't, even though the likelihood of someone in Ukraine having an LR-300 at all is practically nil. The games aren't 100% realistic, but it's just part of their style. Part of it, too, is that the GP-5 is distinctly recognizable as the cheap gas mask that every 'look I have gas mask' kid has sitting on his shelf. It's not like those Czech or Israeli masks that, while not technically in the game, look the part and fit right in.

I think GP-5's are ABSOLUTELY appropriate. I mean, first of all. Snorks.
Second of all: Concept art
Third, there are still thousands and thousands of those masks still in circulation around the world and especially in ex-Soviet countries.
Fourth- GP-5's can actually be found IN the Chernobyl Zone. Granted most of the been busted open by salvagers for metal but they kept crates of them in the basements of all the schools and hospitals etc.

There's also a major difference between the guys who just put on a GP-5 and go 'lolol i am stalker get out of here bro!!!' and people like the guy in the pictures posted further up the page.
It depends on how it's used, since you can make a really shit looking stalker loadout or a really awesome looking one with exactly the same mask.
