In my prep for the alien bases, I got a terror mission. SHIT.
Well, this will be a large update here, editing it in.

Looks like a crazy battle. Loads of action.
Looks like we got plenty of decent men around now :)
...
I haven't been following this really at all, but my character is still alive?
This is amazing
I got a request actually : Remove the img_thumbs, the pictures are not large and you're not taking a lot of pictures so it doesn't really hinder the LP itself.
Alright, I don't want to go back and un thumb everything, but I will just use img tags
No need to change the former pictures, just do it for future updates that's all.
Why, WHY do I keep getting shot at. WHY.
I'm gonna be in recovery AGAIN :sigh:
Edit coming Sunday.
And once again, life is telling me no.
Don't worry about it, the updates have so far been top quality and a little waiting means you can take the time to make those top quality updates. :)
Yeah lets kill some communist aliens!
I eagerly await shenanigans once you arm everyone with those guided mini-nukes.
:3::respek::c00l:
Gregah is now bitchmasterfunk of Base two.
Edited:
Oops, fixed the typo ingame, but the picture stays.
I'mma put on the funk 8)
X-COM closed for Resupply.
Closed for Homecoming.
Sorry guys, I doubt I'll be finishing this, as the current situation is.
It was a good run 40kplayer, shame that you got permabanned though. Thanks for the enjoyment of reading a well made LP, it was fun while it lasted.
THIS LET'S PLAY IS NOT DEAD!
I am in direct contact with 40kplayer. He will continue to make updates, except I will be posting them, instead. So, have no fear, citizens - this is just his usual idling due to variety of topics.
And now back to your regular programing (and by now, I mean, in a few days).
Gave you a heart.
Gentlemen, we are BACK!
First order of business: A Crash Site 44 carefully provided by our Interceptors
Agent Inventories:
Agent Stats:
AteBitLord notices one of the Green Son's of Bitches in a window of a barn. He then destroys one of the walls, taking the Muton behind it.
With some time to spare, he finds another Muton and kills him as well.
He continues his proud tradition of Muton Genocide when the team finally finds the UFO.
The team takes the position around the UFO, blasting anyone not smart enough to stay inside (in which case, Muton soldiers had fitted into that description well enough). BM| |J moves in to storm the UFO...
... and gets ambushed by a dastardly Muton hiding inside!
Maddened by the death of their comrade, most of the team uses reaction fire to utterly avenge their fallen teammate with plasma fire.
With the last alien dead, the Medium Scout is finally captured and transported back to the base.

I'm just resting, right?
right? :(
Hey look I even look like me
Pachengo, Laser Rifle and Grenades/Proxy Grenades
Next update is gonna be up when we'll find an easier way to transfer pictures between me and 40k.
Just use pastebin or something to transfer the whole post at once.
So... Have you found an easy way to transfer pictures yet?
You could do it this way ; 40kplayer puts up all the pictures, writes the reply and then sends it to you through pastebin and then you just copypaste it onto here.
This post is brought to you by War™. It's good for absolutely nothing.
Ah, who am I kiding? PLASMA GUNS! FLYING TANKS! FLYING SUITS OF ARMOR!
WAR, FUCK YEAH!
So, here is the update. Enjoy your action and/or lack of it.
First of all: Stats for all of ya guys back at Base 1
Second: Equipment you are using.
Now that we are done with statistics, let me show you the reason for this:
Yeah. A LARGE ship. And it's your teams job to go take a crack at 2-3 floors high alien vehicle that is probably full of deadly alien creatures that either use alien technology to harm you, or less technological, but still alien claws, teeth, and who knows what else.
Good Luck, team
The first news are good: We identified the ship type.
It's a Terror Ship.
And it's crewed by Mutons. Feeling lucky, punks?
Luckily, Mutons are easy to ambush, especially when they still walking around confused from the crash. Russian Gufu takes this opportunity, and uses it to great success.
As soon as the Muton drops, a Silacoid comes in to check on it's master, dead as of few seconds ago.
On the other side of the Terror Ship, Treelor begins the armed exploration of the craft. Another Silacoid appears. Treelor kill it, but another Wild Silacoid comes out of the smoke. Treelor repeats "Kill Silacoid". It's Super Effective.
Happy with his current K/D ratio, Treelor retreats from the crashed ship, but he is alerted by Scout1 who notices that Treelor is not alone.
That's right, that Muton just walked up to the guy who just killed two of the Terror Units, and just stood next to him. Considering that Mutons are all sterile, this one is certainly an experimental breed. With huge cajones, specially bred for being awesome.
End of Part 1. Please do not post between parts.
Edited:
Part 2. Please don't post between parts.
Scout1 is displeased with such insult to his own manhood, and does the only thing that is right in such situation: Shoot the bastard with enough explosive ordinance to destroy a small, well-developed African country.
On the other end of the ship, Silacoid continious it's slow movements toward the murderer of his friend, master, and overall cool guy: Muton #19028. Slowly.
Somewhere else, a gunshot flew through the air. It missed and nothing happened. Thus, no one cared, for better or worse.
Then, the tragedy struck. Despite Scout1's best attempts to destroy small, well-developed Adrican Muton, it survived long enough to point its gun into the Treelor's back and press the trigger. The result were horrific.
Good night Treelor. You will live in our hearts, untill you'll be back from the cloning vats.
The team retaliates with more explosives, this time, fueled by pure RAGE. The results finally seem positive at the moment.
On the less dramatic side of the conflict, Silacoid continues it's movement toward the men suspended in the air. Which it clearly can't reach. Well, you'll have to admire its stubbornness.
Then Russian Gufu finally kills it, saving your time.
Red Nick however spots something far more dangerous that a slow Silacoid - another Muton. Then he kills it without much problem.
Back at the X-Com: The Drama side of things, Lurkie finds himself between a Terror Ship and a Muton, as well as standing in fire. With his back to the Muton. It appears that Muton used his cojones to absorb the blast from the explosion. Lurkie is also slightly wounded. It might seem like an end to another one of X-Com's fine troopers, but Drasnus had shot and stunned the Experimental Muton. Somewhere in the future, a man was cured of impotence, due to wealth of scientific knowledge the autopsy of that Muton provided.
On the other side however, a curious event of Alien awakening has taken place. Now, unarmed, confused Muton has began running around the battlefield. Just add Yakkety Sax.
On the dramatic side, explosions continue. Lurkie finally takes down the Experimental Muton and takes him for safekeeping into his own backpack.
Finally drama started to spread into the upper parts of the map, as Russian Gufu took his first step into the alien craft. What secrets await him there. What horrors and riches?
IT'S A TRAP!
The blobs organized a trap for the troopers entering the ship. However, one of the troopers was still outside, and he opened fire upon the enemy, and the enemy took hits, and enemy was damaged. And then the trooper looked at his Laser Rifle and thought it was good.
The Drama Team continued it's quest of ship entry as well. with Red Nick's assistance, Scout1 claims a kill with a single, well-placed shot.
End of Part 2. Please don't post between parts.
End of Part 3. Please don't post between parts.
Either surrendering, running away in panic, or simply being too dumb to live, another Muton runs out.
Lurkie helps out the trooper in front of ship in taking down the Silacoid. Flying sack of flesh goes down with a splat.
Soon, the second Muton follows the example of the first one. And so do the rest of the ship's screw.
Russian Gufu is heavily wounded by an encounter with Celatid, but is still alive.
One-man assault squad. FUCK YEAH!
And so the statistics are simple: 10 aliens killed, 1 Experimental Muton stunned, Treelor is dead, and the ship is taken to the base. Russian Gufu is sent to the hospital to read a book.
For heroics in battle and not panicking due to Treelor's death, Scout1 and Lurkie are promoted to Sergeants.
And so ends another exciting day form X-com. What new things will future bring? Only time will tell.
End of Part 3
Death to the Congo! :2bong:
That was an awesome battle, that one Muton took loads of damage. Great read, actually where am I?
