The corsair RAM runs at 1.65v which is above what Intel recommends, but most people say its ok. However G.SKILL ram runs 1600 and is 1.5v

The blue HAF has cheaper shipping than the red one. However, switch it out for a HAF 922 and it will be under budget.

Also, just get a 5870.

With a HAF 922 it comes to a Grand Total:$1,707.43 - $40 for a MIR. And then he is good to go.

He doesn't really need a full tower case unless he wants to show off a lot. Anyways, the HAF 922 looks pretty good and has room for almost anything. Also, 2 5850 in crossfire will perform better then a single 5870, which is 1/3 more for a 20% (I think?) performance.

They were 2 5770s.
