OUT ON DVD AND BLU-RAY DECEMBER 7TH
my spoiler free review:
Nolan's my favorite director for many reasons, but this film really sums it up. He spent 10 years working on this script, and fucking hell it shows. Probably my new favorite film, this is a film that can, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt said in an interview, be appreciated on many different levels. Take it as a simple action heist film, and enjoy the absolutely stunning fight scenes, the intense chase scenes, and the beautiful visuals, or take in the concepts, the idea of the dream that is discussed in this film, and give yourself something rather unsettling to think about. That's what makes this film so great. It's not some film you just watch once and forget about, it's something that can really stick to you, and in a summer filled with a ridiculous amount of forgettable sequels, remakes, and adaptations, Inception manages to come out on top without having to be based on any pre-existing stories and making us remember what it means to actually think about a film. I honestly can't recommend this enough, not just because it's so important this film does well, so that Hollywood can see that an original idea can be just as successful as any remade sequel to an adaptation, but because of the simple fact this movie is brilliant. Something I really enjoy about Nolan is his reluctance to just cut corners and green screen everything. Sure, greenscreen is still there, but only when it is absolutely necessary. Even a 3 second scene where Leo and Page walk up the corner of a wall was done with a rotating set piece, made specifically for just that shot, and best yet, all the scenes were shot in 6 different places around the world. He's as dedicated as they get. I knew it would be amazing but it still surpassed my expectations. There's not a single aspect of the film I hate. Give this film your money, see it, then tell everyone you can to do the same. This film deserves to be a success.
Oh sure some people will complain about the ending, but I think that's silly. The ending is meant to be interpreted by YOU, the viewer. I know Hollywood has been getting us used to being spoon-fed the story in any big blockbusters, but if any film can show that a blockbuster can be more than only pretty sights, loud noises, and the simplest of plots, it's this. Pay attention, watch closely, and enjoy. This is a film that will be remembered for many years to come, so go see it, don't miss out, and tell your friends to do the same.

REVIEWS:
Here's a few bits and peices of reviews so far. I wouldn't recommend reading the full variety review since it apparently goes into detail about the plot. I haven't really read the others besides the opening and closings so I'd be careful reading any of them. This is a film that the less you know of it, the more you will enjoy it.

I've been following this film ever since it was first announced. This movie is going to be fucking awesome. It's made by my favorite director, Christopher Nolan, whose previous films include: Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight.
After Christopher Nolan made the Dark Knight and made fucking tons of money, he was given the opportunity to make this film that's based on a script written entirely by himself. Not only that, but he was given a budget of $200 Million to make it with. That makes Inception the 2nd most expensive original idea film ever made (2nd only to Avatar's $237 million budget). So far, the marketing campaign for this movie seems to be focusing on revealing as little as possible about the film. The main character is Leonardo Dicaprio. The plot was mostly unknown for a long time. First there was the simple description given by Christopher Nolan: "A contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind" but from the trailers and new information that's slowly being made available, it appears to have to do with using a device hidden in a suitcase and a new type of drug to enter people's dreams and steal ideas. This is the dream machine:
On May 4th, days before the release of the third trailer, the plot was revealed:
So yeah, I'm really looking forward to this. Nolan has yet to disappoint, and the idea of a film made entirely by him has me interested to see how it's gonna turn out. If you haven't seen any of Nolan's other films, go check them out right away.Inception's official synopsis posted:
The Website:

The film's website is rather interesting. It was first a spinning top, then as time went on the top starting to slow down and lose balance. Then the site opened up, somewhat. It appears to be four stages. I can't remember what stage 1 was, i think just the trailer premiere, but stage 2 is currently going on now. It appears to be some sort of free-roaming web based game people can join in on together. Hidden in the world are clues and information regarding the film. Recently this new poster was found in it:

They were having trouble figuring out how best to advertise it, but it looks like they're doing it "District 9" style with strange posters in the street

And there's also cryptic commercials playing on USA Network, usually starting around 9 pm, that I stumbled upon (har har always wanted to be the first to discover the next part of a big viral campaign) that tell you to send a text with a certain keyword to 5500. Do it quick enough, and you get a website. The same website you get if you scan that barcode thingy on the street posters:

The only thing that's new on that site so far is this:

Which gives a great look into how exactly you steal the idea from someone's mind.
