I've been meaning to check this band out, but they weren't on Spotify.
But a couple days ago I went to a used records store and saw a copy of "..And justice for all", which I've been hearing good things about, so I bought it. Haven't had time to listen through it all yet, but what I've heard so far, I really like.
If you're looking for more albums, i'd recommend Master of Puppets, Kill 'em All, and Ride the Lightning for their older stuff.
Newer (by comparison) stuff is the Black Album, Garage Inc (a covers album), and Death Magnetic.
They have a couple of albums called Load and Reload that are not as well received, due to their sort of Country and Westerny feel, and St. Anger that was universally canned by critics, but i'd suggest if you really like them you listen to them all.
I for one, can't say i dislike any particular Metallica album!
So i'm listening to a recording of a Metallica show that i went to and James sings Phantom Lord really well. Never noticed it until now.
His voice is improving alot over time; i think it's down to the singing exercises he does, but whatever it is, he's starting to get better! Check out his vocals on Hit the Lights at Sonisphere Knebworth, sounds fucking sweet!
