I guess you're still working on the highlights part? (Also, that thread summary is incredibly accurate.)
I expected some super sweet awesome v8 with new text graphics and jokes, oh well I guess it'll be v9
We need an AutoSubscribe feature so I don't have to resubscribe when a new thread is made!
You forgot version 7 in the "previous threads" section.
Imma try to get some new images for the OP, Let's see....
I wanna be in highlights :(
Simple edit of the header from the first thread. If you dont like it. make something better
Fixed the alpha being fucked up:
more pics :D
That just MUST be one of the highlights
That seems pretty cool.
Come on FP programmers, V8 and no one's programmed something that would pull the highlights automatically from the previous thread? :P
Maybe something that finds posts with media and a bunch of artistic ratings, then stores the links to those posts. We can also adopt the artistic rating as a voting standard to measure the awesomeness of the given post. Though I believe it already is one, but more people should use it to make an idea like this work properly. Then the person who makes the next WAYWO can go through the stored posts and filter them down some more. Expand upon this idea as you wish.
I'd do this but I can't say I'm experienced with web programming :(
(Web programming WAYWO lurkers, I know you're reading this, sounds like a nice little project right?)
No because there's no (reliable) way to detect a highlight
I was attempting to smooth the colors, but I messed up. Strangely badass...
Just finished writing the Canadian Computing Contest, (basically a three-hour contest between students all across Canada) and I think I did pretty well. I finished all five problems within an hour or so, and am pretty sure that I got close to, if not perfect. Compared to some of the problems I was doing for practice, the contest was a walk in the park.
Does anyone have any idea what the functions for shaders in C++ is in DirectX SDK?
I got this nice shader that works perfect in FX Composer and i wanna try it in my DirectX App
This post-rate gathering isn't hard at all. If I would just figure out how to get all the posts in a certain thread, it can't be that hard.
I recall using an XML parser to seperate the different page elements in a web page. Not the most elegant solution, but it seemed to work. HTML has the same syntax as XML anyway, and you know exactly what tags to expect.
You could well be fucked once the page layout changes though.
let's have heart as the vote-rating, and everyone should only give out hearts to totally awesome projects.
The fail-quote is really eating me :bang:
I think he's just lazy
I've never made it into the highlights :(
Granted, I've only been working on projects (that I posted) in two of the WAYWO threads
