This film is just one big roller coaster of action. from the moment the daughter gets kidnapped to the very end of the movie, just nonstop action and awesomeness. hell, even before the real plot starts, there's action. this is THE definitive action movie of the decade. Liam Neeson is such a badass.
and... that's all I got. discuss.
oh, and, I'm surprised there wasn't a thread on this earlier ( I used search, so if there is, frakkin' sue me.).

I wasn't interested in this when it came out at all, but then my brother gave me the DVD and said it was badass so I watched it and now I think it's awesome.

Film is great action film but I wish it was a bit longer, not nearly enough of Liam Neeson killing people and been generally badass...

Once I counted how many times he slams someone's head off of an object or wall, it was around 20 something.

I think the best part was when Liam's character was chasing the french dude who his daughter befriended. it looked like the dude got away, but then WHAM! he gets hit by a truck!

The part when the guy comes down the stairs and he shoots him in the back of the neck is so awesome.

It honestly makes the movie so much better. The action is much less restrained and it makes Liam Neeson seem to incredibly brutal.

Doesn't drop his gun, makes a plan and sticks to it, doesn't rely on luck for his plan to work.

I don't see what they can do for a sequel, either. someone kidnaps the whole family? maybe HE gets kidnapped and he has to fight his way out? maybe have a completely different cast but still have the premise of someone being taken and someone else has to rescue?

I've started watching this loads of times, but I've never finished watching it, I'm always interrupted. Also, my friend's dad sounds exactly like Liam Neeson.

I fucking love this movie. It's one of the best feel good holiday movies ever. Why? Don't you feel good after seeing him Liam smash the head in, shoot, stab, electrocute, interrogate and mindfuck every single one of those assholes? I felt pretty damn good knowing there are good people out in the world.

Don't fuck with Sam Fisher as well, he doesn't know who the enemy is, he doesn't know what they want. If they are looking for trouble, I can tell you I don't take no for answer, but what I do have many skills of combat and stealth. Skills I have trained for years and years for the governments. Skills that will make you snap your own neck when you see me. If you tell me why you killed my daughter, that will be the end of it. You won't look for me.....I'll look for you. You won't chase me, I'll chase you. And I will find you. And I will kill you.

The best scene in the movie was the electric chair, dear god, the acting was so convincing, i thought Liam was a total psycopath, especially when he refused to turn the shock off in the end.

I liked it because it was not a movie that dicked around. The action was straight and didn't have a stupid, extensive trick to every. Single. Scene.
