Let me show you about content aware!
So there was this lovely photo of me at the park which currently rests on my nightstand by my bed, because I have been unable to move it due to lack of physical capabilities. It stares me down every night, and although I look really good, thereís a big part of the picture I donít like. The problem being that my ex girlfriend was in the picture with me!
So the folks over at Adobe have crafted a clever solution to make my life much easier, and boy does it deliver!
Here is the original photo
Right away itís easy to identify the problem, itís taking up most of the picture! I donít want to be bogged down with problems, so I am going to cut her out using the polygon laso tool.
Alright so you can see here I did a pretty rough cutout, because content aware is just so amazing that you can make rough selections like this and still end up with a wonderful product!
You push the delete key (make sure the picture is the background layer, otherwise it will just be deleted!), and content aware pops up! Just click okay, leave the settings at where they are at, I found they work best that way.
And presto! Thereís me at the park, just the way I always imagined it! Time to print it out, and put it in the frame so I can finally sleep at night with this beautiful picture of me at the park finally in a form that is acceptable to be overlooking my slumber!
Thanks Adobe! Now I can sleep at night!
