Yes. That's it. Exactly. I even think that's the song I was thinking of.
I thought the name was "Xeon" or "Xenon". I was close, since the name is a play on it, being xe-NONE.![]()

Bringing you some melodic dark/death: Soulfallen!
Also: "Revolt III" by Swedish indie rock band Kent, as covered by Souldrainer. It's awesome!
So everyone forgot about this thread, or?
Anyway. Bumping the thread up with the new Eluveitie album, Helvetios!
Here's the two videos for you lot.
A Rose For Epona (And by "Epona" they're referring to the Gallo-Roman fertility goddess and guardian of horses, not the horse from the Zelda games.)
Havoc
How did this fall to the fifth page? Anyway, turns out that Paths of Possession is awesome.
IT LIVES
New Barren Earth:
New In Mourning (only song on YouTube from the new album):
New Infinite Tales:
I would post new Fractal Gates, but they haven't posted any material from their new album. They're being very hush-hush about it; all we know is the fact it's pretty much done and just waiting to be printed.![]()
I have no idea if these have already been posted, but here's 3 of my favourites:
Tbh anything with Petri Lindroos, Christian Alvestam, and Jari Maenpaa is considered godlike in my head.
Finally someone else remembered this thread!
Anyway: New Before The Dawn album! Without Lars, but awesome anyway!
Apparently Before the Dawn is a one-man project.
Everyone else in the band are just session members.
Who knew.![]()
I don't really like "The Book of Truth" by Ceremonial Oath too much. This song is an exception though.
Brilliant.
I don't usually promote anything Facebook, but this page always manages to find some awesome stuff.

Oh, and:
Because you're worth it.
Hey guys look what i found!
Saw them live in Qstock festival recently. They played in this small ass stage which was indoors and it was hot as hell in there.
Also, my friend got a picture taken with their session drummer who you can see on the video.
NEWS: Wintersun's finally releasing Time. They're releasing a snippet on the 24th.
I am now absolutely in love with this song.
Especially the last part with the Unbound, Free
Some new stuff on the folkier front: Eluveitie has now released their compilation album "The Early Years", and it is awesome (especially disk 1 in my opinion).
And speaking of early Helvetians: Another new release is the first full-lenght of the Italian band Krampus. I've yet to get the album but from what I've heard it sounds great! It sounds quite much like early Eluveitie and is blatantly environmentalist. (Not to the extreme levels that I, a fan of cascadian black metal/RABM, am used to, but still!)
Just found this. Really obscure stuff.
Why did this thread die all of a sudden? Did people "grow up" and started to listen to other genres?
I still listen to melodeath, but to be honest I mostly listen to doom metal and black metal nowadays.
But here's some content: Dominia (Symphonic/Melodic Death/Doom from Russia)
Evocation has a new album coming out and it sounds pretty good.
Bump because Melodeath is awesome
Bumping with kinda new Insomnium music video
Following up with melodic black/death from South Korea.
Edited:
Also Dethklok
I hope it's ok to bump. I lub dis thread and don't want it to die.
I'll post some old Mercenary, since they're one of my favorite bands. I'll start from the album Everblack and go to Architect of Lies:
Has Vinterland been posted yet? Well, it's been too long since the last post anyway.

I think that it might be melodic black metal though. Well, who cares?
Towards the end of the month we'll get a new album from Dreamshade who now has gone to full hipster mode (still good tho).
Another band that I know is working on a new release is Eternal Tears of Sorrow.
Also Omnium Gatherum, but there I can't give you any teasers.
Edited:
Whelp. So much for that. Released today.
I'm just gonna post these:
If your really looking for a good Melodic Death Metal band listen to "Devildriver"
