So me and my friend are trying to decide on a good prebuilt computer for him, can anyone post a link, and give advice on where to get the best prebuilt that will run ALL Steam games(including mw2,bc2 and other high graphic games) on their maximum settings. We also need it to come with MS Word, and basic software that I can write papers for school on. Thanks.

HP lets you customize your computer the way you want them. Go check out their site. (If your looking for a pre built, although building one yourself gets a much lower price.

Building your computer will save you hundreds. It's not worth getting a prebuilt.

Newegg's computer selection? Also look at Tigerdirect. They have some good cheap refurbished computers.

Build your own, it isn't that hard... Besides this IS the PC BUILDING(!) sub-forum, so why ask for a pre-built here?

If you can't build it yourself, have a friend build it for you.

It's REALLY simple. Some people think you have to be a rocket scientist to put some parts together. Think of it as advanced legos 101.

Now, c-unit i really want to help you but, there are some cons/pros to buying a prebuilt.
First off all not every company will let you pick the parts.

2 - If they do let you, it will come in a shitty case, with shitty airflow, and shitty cable managment.

3 - not a whole room for improvement.

4 - ITS EXPENSIVE, whilst buying a custom can do wonders.
First off. Parts and price choices!

    2. CHEAPER, and what i mean you can easily shave a couple hundred bucks off.

    3. Nice cases, good cablemanagement(if option is there) really nice airflow eqauling better cooling.

4 - You will be proud of yourself by the fact that you actually made a working pc!

Now see, If you really want a pc Build one

As for everything else - Great little guide to start with - http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh...computer_store

And I am not computer illiterate, but I see your peoples opinions of a build your own pc, but the thing is I don't want a desktop computer. I am looking for a good gaming laptop. Any help on the subject would be wonderful. Thanks.

I did see something on a new IBuyPower Laptop that was also a multitouch. Do you know anything about them or any information about how to build your own laptop? Much appreciated.
