Novax, not sure if you've done this, but when you import an MMD model, press Shift + T to bring up a the texture window. Highlight all of the textures, right click them, click "set path", and go to where the texture files have been stored.

Thank you for the upload. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem. I'm going to try one last thing. IF not, I might make a thread in the main area to see if it's still something not right on my side (which I'm guessing it is). As for the other models, some have rigging, some don't.
I didn't see your post before SakuraX. However, this is getting me on the right track as it says the files are missing, but fixed and did so. I still don't have them showing up, but this is none the less helping me. I tried this only on the Fusion Suit Samus. The Flandre model is only allowing one texture in the tree to show up but still doesn't show up on the model itself
Edit:
Maybe a picture guide might help as stupid as that sounds.
If all else fails, you may have to post a new thread asking for help. If that fails, make a UV map.
Well, I got the Fusion Suit and Light Suit textures to finally appear thanks to a friend's help. With the help of SakuraX and my friend, I got them to appear. Apparently, I had to "Activate the Maps" for the textures to appear for some odd reason after fixing the file path. However, even using this method, I was unable to get the Flandre model to have any textures to appear. It also has trouble obtaining all of the textures it needs as well. If Vaust Kil would swing by to tell me how he did it successfully, that would help out a bit too.

If you upload that one, i'll check that one for you aswell if you want (as .obj or .3ds would be best).
If you mean the Fusion Suit Samus model, that's the same one from before. If you mean the Flandre model, I'll have to see as I don't have an uploading source available yet. I'm also going to try that Blender plugin as backup in case I can't get things to work in 3D Max.
The Flandre one. Just upload it to MediaFire as you don't need an account or anything to upload to it.
Alright, I'll try. If you do get anything to work, will you teach me and such so that I can learn as well?
Here is the model and textures. The format is OBJ for the model and TGA for the textures.

Sure ^^ Though I have no idea how to do the stuff I do in Milkshape in 3DSmax but I will try to help where I can :)
Posted link above, but in case, I'll have the link again.

Humm seems you have a problem here, The groups don't match up to the textures, so that may be the problem. To assign them I will have to work at it a bit, do you have a picture of what it should look like?
Not exactly no. Seems I did something wrong with the importer. I will provide an image of the options given to me when importing the X file.
These are the options I have selected when importing. I have no idea what it means by Left Hand.

Update: Granted it's small and not too much of any news than already posted, I found out it takes my 3D Max for some bizarre reason to display the maps/textures. However, the Flandre model's texture is indeed messed up as Silver said. This means I didn't send a bad copy out. It might have something to do with how I exported it or how I've been importing it. I'm still giving it a look see when I have time.
Is this what it looked like for you Silver?

Mostely yes, but I couldn't figure out which textures went where, but then figured out there were 3 textures and two groups. I can fix it though, but I will need a reference pic of the original texture setup so i know where to map it ^^
Im so damn confused I have few pmd files I am wondering is there anyway you could convert it so It can be opened to 3ds max? I dont understand this at all... I beg of you!! haha I been looking up things forever and cant get it to work

novax do you think you could check out the k-on models i posted?
send me the original pmd and texture and ill do them. wont take long.
^could you do my links?
I'm wondering, as to why when i export them as .x none of the bones aren't attach with it, can anyone explain about this then?
@kai
i'm looking into it. just need to find out how the exporter works better.
alright cool my friend is good at rigging i just gotta figure out how to make the model and texture work on 3ds max and im clueless lol
I think the trouble is something were doing wrong when we export them. It's hard to know since it's in Japanese. Also, Kai, once I figure out the problems with importing MMD models, I could give you 3DS files, but only if I solve this and have time. I'm not making any promises cause I already have other projects I want to work on. Any luck with the textures though Nexus?
Edit:
Sorry if I come off rude, I just don't want to get in over my head with things. They are nice models none the less. Again, if I have time I can try and get them in a file format for you. I have to first fix the bugs I'm having with my own models.
Well it's getting there, theres still some bits around the face i'm finding hard to get at to fix, but it's starting to look better ^^
Edit: Right think thats as fixed as its gonna be can't see any UV bits in the wrong place anymore ^^
Here you go: Download
It comes with a txt file saying which textures go on each group (though I haven't included the textures as you already have them).
Any chances that this could appear as a player model?
Nicely done Silver. Would you be willing to teach me how to correctly UV map this model? I do appreciate your work. I'm hoping I can still find a way so we don't have to redo the UV maps on each model.
Is there a model of Cirno or Sakuya Izayoi out there?
I did all the UV map fixing, you should just have to apply the textures like its says in the txt file (so long as 3dmax imports obj files the same as Milkshape otherwise i'm not sure what to do :S).
There is, one of the links on the previous page of this thread contains a link to one of the MMD sites that contain models for both characters.
I hear that there is a better Cirno model somewhere out there on the internet.
Think that this one is the best so far: http://www.4shared.com/get/Ka0IBdg0/mv101.html
I may work on Cirno and Remilia next if I can solve the UV issue and learn how to fix UV maps. Also, how did you import your models with the textures perfectly mapped Vaust Kil?
It was a matter of opening the x. file in 3ds and drag n drop one of the three bmp's or textures onto selected parts of the model (Selected with the poly tool or something, this was a couple of months back though so i don't quite remember)
Ill need to reinstall 3DS and get back my external hard drive from my brother again to get my MMD files in order, and try to give you a straight answer.
Ah, I see. I would appreciate this a lot as it would help making the process a bit easier. I have a ton of Touhou MMD models that would be interesting to use (most are just different versions of characters). Best of luck to you though.
How much progress have you made since the last screenshot?
Progress has kind of halted. Been learning to rig and need to learn UV mapping so I can fix the other models. However, I do have a Cirno and Sakuya model (nice quality). I want to do Remilia too among others, but it depends on my time. I may have to give the model files themselves to others if needed to be made into ragdolls and such.
Anyone else interested in porting Touhou stuffs?
Oh my requests were low priority. I have a collection of models I'm working on but I don't have GMod so it doesn't much matter.
I'm not giving up, just ran into the problems with the UV mapping. Also pkt, if all you need is the files converted, I can do that, but you'll have to fix the UV mapping issues. However, what format do you want?
3ds or Obj. I use Blender so collada sucks. I can rig them in a supported format though.
Does this supported format involve Source Engine?
Not quite, but i don't think i have used an obj. file before.
I keep on forgetting how to export what in some formats.
Oh and btw, i think i found my save on 3ds of when i combined the textures on the sawako model a month back.
If anyone wants it, just email me or msg me over MSN.

Any Meiling models that could be ported to gmod?
