I've had issues recording video on my G1 with CM6. I can record, but when I stop recording the camera app force closes. The video shows up in the gallery but I get a message like "Video type is not supported"
Taking still photos works fine though.

The camera would FC on me after I took a picture, shit was so annoying
OP, FYI the Evo4G from sprint got an official update to FroYo a while ago... you might want to add that to the list
haha FroYo
Edited:
also A LOT of phones got an official update to froyo recently, and none of them are mentioned in the op, so why highlight just one phone?
anyway, this makes me reaaaalllly not want an Epic 4G
http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/12/e...9-on-contract/
$350 $100 mail in rebate, even after the rebate, $250. 50 bucks for a keyboard, something shitty free LG phones have had for years? that's stupid. way to be competitive. and it's funny how she shows the side "LOL THIN" even though the epic 4g is the thickest version and actually thicker than the EVO
Edited:
and bitch is ugly too
Her lips were annoying.
her fucking face is annoying
i don't need to see her brain through her nose either what the fuck
Harsh, Harsh.
Righto lads, anyone had problems with 2.2 not picking up your routers with WIFI? I may be using it on my HD2 but its worked for other people and those who had Android phones to begin with got it as well.
While I had 2.2 on my G1 it picked it up fine. That's router not routers.
My phone picks mine up fine
Might buy the Nexus One.
Looks p. fine for what I need.
Jup, had that as well. Delete the network from your phone and connect to it again. Fixed it for me.
Also, anyone has a decent doom or quake port for android?
I found a quake 3 port to android, never tried it, but it looks good.
http://code.google.com/p/kwaak3/
I'll try that
I think I'll stick to my 2.2 Rooted build. It's the stock FRG01B with Bugless Beast. Not only do I get rooted stuff applications but I get tethering.
It can't find anything, well except a neighbour who lives a few hundred meters away.
I put the code for the router, and pass but no luck, bukfuk.
I have a Hero and I like it mostly but three major complaints:
1) It's really sluggish. REALLY sluggish, sometimes I'll be typing and the screen just freezes for a second or two then jumps ahead to where I'm at. The frame rate overall is pretty bad.
2) Although the underlying Android stuff is awesome, the HTC components such as their Mail app, the HTC widgets and Sense are a load of shit.
3) The Windows 7 drivers don't actually do anything (it's not just me, it's an actual issue, the drivers just sit there and laugh at you as you plug your phone in) so I have to use contrived methods to get files on and off my phone. There's a fix for it but it never seems to stick after a reboot. I'm going to have to get an SD card reader.
There's also the fact that the 2.1 update is still not out on 3 but it's meant to be out in the next two weeks as they're just waiting for Google's approval now. Fucking finally I should say, but I'm really not too bothered about that.
I agree on #2, I am not a fan of the HTC apps. I flashed vanilla android to get rid of them lol. XP didn't pickup my phone until I installed HTC Sync, I guess try that if you have driver problems on windows.
My Motorola Milestone does that, thankfully doesn't miss out any letters though. I got the milestone after hearing about all the good news of the droid, and expected them to be the same, but then found out the milestone misses out of a lot of stuff
Got my WIFI working, changed the channel for wireless.
NOW, what apps/programs/tweaks would you guys recommend for 2.2?
asphalt... looks amazing on Evo
I dont like how in the Epic4G review they turned down the light on the Evo4G's screen it looks awesome with the brightness turned up
the galaxy s phones really do have a brighter more contrasty screen though
I don't like the galaxy S phones homescreens, they look like iOS ripoffs imo
Which is why I replaced the homescreen on my Samsung Vibrant with ADW launcher.
I fucking love ADW launcher
the default homescreens for galaxy s is atrocious
Got the Droid 2 today. :smug:
And I actually like the keyboard. There will always be regrets with phones, and sometimes I think I should have got the Droid X. Either way, it's hella better than my old BB Storm 1.
Might get this alot here, but:
Recommend good games for Android?
Paper toss
just get a gba emulator, don't worry about the native android ones
If you have an Incredible or Evo, Unrevoked - Forever (S-OFF AND NAND UNLOCK TOOL)
Holy cow I do want so much.
Got me a HTC Hero running 2.2
is that just a case or a whole special edition phone?
It's a special edition, one month only thing, I think.
2.2 is being ported to the Droid Eris (Verizon Hero). Its not going to be much of a performance booster, since many of the enhancements are for ARMv7 phones, but it should help prolong the life of the device, and at least give us some of the 2.2 features and apps. They finally got camera preview working just recently.
Do you use kaosfroyo too?
I personally don't. I'm still using 2.1 (XTR Sense). I'm waiting until they get some more kinks worked out of it.
I've been using it for a couple weeks now, and I've only ran into little problems, like goggles not working (which is now fixed ). If you want to try a Rom that doesn't have sense, I would recommend kaosfroyo. The only downside to it is that stock wired tethering doesn't work
