    I really wanted to add water to this map. I still want to add water to v2, but water in source will never NEVER look exactly like the water in minecraft. I want to make maps that look 100% like minecraft, so bottom line, no water.





    Edit: Water is officially in the map now. looks pretty good to.

    Nope. Check out pl_minecraft (the tf2 map). He used the blue water texture and gave it water properties, and it looks nothing like minecraft water.

    make a water texture that doesn't refract, is cheap, and doesn't have any reflections. Then use an overlay on it to make it look like minecraft's.

    Naah... That would require a skybox change, and you cant to that in source.

    The way that the sky is, you could just use a sphere with the texture and rotate it in the 3D skybox.

    What would I do for light changes? That way is very practical but again, the global light in minecraft changes in 16 bit increments.

    There was a time ago some lua scrip for day and night skybox...
    But the user should have this file overwhise, the skybox will be white.

    Hey Todarac, just gotta say, this is a freakin' amazing map. I was wondering if you could tell me, in very very basic terms, how you got all the minecraft stuff into hammer, and how it was crafted. I'm making a comic based on this gmod meets mcraft idea, and I've figured out how to hex character skins and what not, I just need to be able to make maps. Any help you can give would be unbelievably appreciated, thanks.

    Hey, I was thinking about making a ttt_minecraft map, so I tried to make the textures but since is my 1st Source SDK job, they didn't end well.

    If you could mind giving me your textures? I will give credit inside the map.

    Download GCFScape and open the .bsp with it. Then extract the .vtf and .vmt and place them in the correct directory

    Its actually the same map. I only put the "old and outdated" tag because its easier to download ingame.

    Also, even if it was outdated, it would still work. the textures are still there.
