I would fucking love a gas blowback semi-auto/pump shotgun. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard either. Or an electric, but I'm not sure how all that would work.

An affordable, 6mm BB shotgun. The only ones I know aren't 6mm and are crazy expensive.

Yeah, theyre like, $500 - $800 on some chinese websites last I checked.

Is $200 crazy expensive? Maruzen makes 870s and M1100s that are 6mm, shell ejecting, and gas powered. Only problem is that they don't like green gas without mods (which are very easy), and the extractor wears down fast on the M1100.

Seems very do-able. I would make one if I had the skills and money. Making a magazine would be the only issue but I think one could get around that as well

You could probably dress up a sten like a bastard gun, albeit without the moving magazine.
It'd also make the sten a lot more fun to use if you got rid of the horrible grip/stock combo and put a pistol grip on it instead.
A metro 2033 style shotgun with the revolver like part would be badass, though. It'd just be like a scaled up revolver that uses shotgun shells.

the grip is the most uncomfortable shit ever; it digs into your skin and hurts

The thing is though, at the time when the Sten was designed and built its ergonomics weren't exactly a priority.

As far as I know, you arent supposed to use the handguard on the sten? The hot shells eject into your arm when you hold it there or something. Youre supposed to hold it by the mag well, or so I was told by some guys at a WWII weapons and vehicles show I was at.

I've held one, and although uncomfortable, I still really like it.
