Really late but I thought we should keep the thread alive, PanicButton is a great extension that allows you to save and then hide your tabs and even set up a password to prevent someone else from accessing them
Gestures always seemed gimmicky to me. I might try this one, though.
I think I should probably update the thread with some cooler stuff.
I'm am extremely lazy
I updated it with most of the missed extensions, unless they were not linked right, in which I got too lazy to fix it.
If somebody wants to come up with an organization plan for it, go for it. I'll implement whatever you guys want as long as I don't have to do anything.
I put everything in categories, but it's still a bit jumbled. Also made a header.
Google Chrome is one of the best browsers on the Internet now. It's fast, lightweight, and very flexible. This thread is dedicated to the extensions that allow you to browse how you want to browse.

Minimalist everything - Slims down Gmail and Reader, gives a wealth of options.
Smooth Scroll - Yes, the link leads to 2shared instead of the Chrome store, this is because it was removed from the chrome store for some reason. It works fine for all of us though, so continue/start using at your own risk. The Smooth Scroll extension does what it looks like. It changes the default Chrome scrolling from a choppy nightmare into a beautifully smooth ride. It allows for total customization of the speed with many options and presets that allow you to fully control your scrolling experience. If you need an alternative to this, Lyoko774 likes This.

I honestly can't stand Facebook in it's virgin-vanilla state. (Gotta have my Classic Chat)
Anyone know if it would be possible to make an addon that combines the addon icons to one menu?
why do you even have though displayed?
Last time I used smooth scroll it had a strange effect on my WASD keys and certain flash games wouldn't play right. Hopefully it's fixed..
edit: Nope. Unfortunate : \
I never took a liking to Chrome extensions, then I saw this.
Just wondering, is there an extension that lets you open a new incognito tab in a normal window? I'd rather just have an incognito tab rather than a whole new window.
Checker Plus for Gmail™ Lets you view your mail from the extension, so you don't have to go to the gmail page, unless you want to.
Looks of Disapproval Allows you to add your own smilies such as "ಠ_ಠ" and paste it anytime you need it so you don't have to go open up that special characters thing...
Bookmark Sentry Scans your bookmarks for any duplicates, and reminds you if you are creating an existing bookmark.
View Thru Allows you to see full URLs behind shortened URLs.
Search by Image (by Google) Adds the option to search an image by right clicking on the image and selecting the "search' function. It's useful for if you want to find a specific image on the web on another website or something.
might i recommend stylebot?
it's useful for people who don't know CSS but want to change fonts on a website or change/hide certain elements to their liking. If you're a developer, I guess it's useful to see updates to your website in real time using this, I believe there's a "Advanced" option for more flexibility
Is there any sort of extension to hide pictures that people like on Facebook? I'm incredibly sick of seeing my wall be 50% these-
Since this is the closest thing to a chrome thread:
I used to use scratchpad on my old @gmail address. It showed in the background apps tray icon. I changed to using a custom apps domain, and now it won't show in the background tray icon. It's not that big of a deal, but it is nice to be able to take notes without chrome being open.
Doesn't help that the smooth scrolling flag has been broken for the past three releases either.
so chrome now switches tab fonts if theres a special character in the page title
any way to change back?
Wouldn't it be a better idea to have a thread for extensions in general (browser-related of course)?
Is there an extension or something that lets me download Youtube movies as .wav files?
I need to for an SFM thing I wanted to do, but the one I have only does .mp3s, and I can't convert it to .wav without loosing the bitrate and shit.
I just got a new computer and I can't remember the name of one of the extensions I used to have. Or if it was part of some other extension. Basically when I was at the bottom of a page, to get back to the top all I had to do was hold right click and move the mouse wheel, and bang! Instantly to the top.
Does anyone know of any such extension?
Do any of you know of an extension that only blocks new windows from opening? Like a pop-up blocker with no other features basically.
I find Thin Scrollbar a bit too thin for my taste, I use Better Scrollbar.
Chime is pretty cool. Grabs notifications from GMail and all that other social stuff.
Added Chime and Better Scrollbar because good threads never die.
I couldn't find Scriptno, so I just won't add one for now.
Shit son it looks like it might have taken down. But i still get updates from the guy. Weird.
