Coded by [TG] Chief (Alex) and managed by me, based off the Source engine GoatRacer is a vehicle combat gamemode for Garry's Mod. It's an arcade-style game in which you have to race to the finish first. You can do this by straight out racing or you could improve your chances by buying weapons and upgrading your vehicle.
The action is high-paced, crazy and offers MORE then 6000 ability/upgrade/weapon/paintjob/vehicle combinations.
If you're lucky you might find yourself firing a flack cannon from a Lamborghini at 300 MPH.
There is a wide variety of weapons, vehicles and upgrades to choose from to increase your defensive and offensive abilities as well as speed and agility.
These can be purchased through a deep money and leveling system.
Winning a race get you the ultimate prize, but if you die you'll earn some money anyway to make the gamemode more balanced.

It's a menu that slowly rotates and floats up and down after each race. It's dynamic and shows your last race's stats.
Don't mind the typos, they'll be fixed before the beta says coder, Chief.

The Gamemode is ahead of schedule. In fact it will first be tested on Friday. Unfortunately this is a closed test, so you'll have to PM me if you want to join in.
The coding part is 100% finished. That number will be bumped down 3-6% after the test seeing as there will probably be bugs or requests.
Two out of five default maps are also finished, and those two will be used on the test.
Three musical scores are composed as well.
Even if the coding is complete there are still things to add before 26th of December which is the planned full release.
Perfecting the skin-chaining (painting) system is yet to be done, and a goal of 15 more weapons/abilities/upgrades are to be added.
The current number is secret, but close to 50.
The cars are completed as well and are included.
