Scania truck WIP. Needs texturizing, interior and some mirrors (and wheels duuuh). Basically a generic overcab Scania with a fused trailer.
added some stuff and did a bit of rough interior works (no holo yet). there's a small sleeping bunk above the cabin like on the real one.
NOTHING will beat my main ref picture.
That is fucking sweet.
I wish I was as good as you guys in building/wire/everything
Added mirrors and some minor details on the exterior. But yeah, everything is done and needs a chassis now. Been working on it for exactly 12 hours in a couple minutes, not too much compared to what I usually use on something big like that. Woo for a 1 week vacation (that is soon ending, fucking mondays).
The overly complex dashboard.
I love that dashboard.
I would make sweet sensual man-love to that dashboard.
hnnng jack that truck is FABULOUS
Sexy as hell. Needs airride seats with an airride cab and an airride suspension.
There's a reason that i don't post on WIP. And that reason is right here.
FEAST YOUR EYES ON *GASP* THE UGLY, BOXY, YET SHITTY BOXMAHCAR 3000!!!
LOOK AT THAT FRONT. AERODYNAMICS AT ITS FINEST.
DAT SIDE VIEW. FLAT AND UGLY. JUST HOW I LIKE MY WOMEN.
REAR END ASS VIEW. LOOK AT THAT TIRE, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PIXELS, IT CLEARLY ADDS AERODYNAMICS.
INTERIOR, WITH RANDOM BUTTONS THAT ARE AERODYNAMICALLY PLACED, AND A HUGE ASS LIGHT SO I CAN READ BOOKS AND SHIT.
Hits speeds of 5-10mph.
In the meantime here's a pic of my newer EOD/Bomb disposal robot:
I might make a new one soon that looks more like the TALON EOD/Recon bot
I might also build a UGV like the Goliath in Homefront, which autonomously travels to an area that i'd designate with the laser pointer and attacks any living thing in it's range.
Meet my shitty new tank/apc hybrid
Weighs something between 10 and 20 tons, has working suspension and gun elevation/turret turning and uses acf for movement and gunnery
And it's pretty much finished.
And a tiny amount of driving around, going to make a real YouTube video sometime later.
nice bodywork but the interior texture looks... bad
RedReaper is very optimistic today!
It's exactly 199 props. The cabin is about 120 which means I can actually pull it off the trailer it's fused to and make a physical one behind it. Then it can carry bigger and greater loads.
i got 199 props but an RSO ain't one
The back! (Hurr durr, Supplies)
Another angled view on the front!
Tell me what you think and rate it! HURR DURR
Looks pretty good but the wheels seem a tad awkward for that size of car. Good job though. Are there any special wire features in it and how many props is it?
I think it is a very nice vehicle to drive.. if it has reverse.
I excluded some stuffs, as you can see.
It doesn't have any cool functions, except it's a very good climber, with a bigger engine. Does about 50-60mph only, Diesel engine. It's 166 props i believe.
So no, nothing fancy about this one, main purpose was supposed to make a shitty looking truck but still fresh.
Simulated engine explosion, made possible by Truckerdude. It basically reads how long time you hold down alt for the boosting of the engine. When you hold it down for 10 seconds, the engine blows up (so it can't move), smokes start coming out of the front and an awesome sound effect for an explosion starts playing.
Then you need to wait 15 seconds and it'll stop.
that goes a bit retardedly fast for a truck
Re posting my squirtle, Still don't know if its done.
-snip- lol misread
i think you left use windows input on
yeah, I should check around a bit before recording. oh well, was just some wip work of the truck, I'll (probably) do a proper video for it in a week or so when I'm certain all that needs to be done to it is done. Right now of silly features, it has:
-steering, suspension, applytorque engine,
-smooth steering chip by Kai so it won't make agressive turns and make your load fall out,
-simulated engine overheating / engine blow ups if you run the boost for too long,
-moving pedals, handbrake, speedometer and steeringwheel (holo),
-ignition, you can't drive before turning the key,
-storage room, it can currently only carry about 4.5 tons before suspension breaking up though,
-anti roll hydraulics to the wheels. Basically a gyro hooked up to an E2 that reads the angle of the main prop. When it's out of balance, the hydraulics move and even out. Good if you don't want to lose your load, not all too effective though,
-third person view,
-dashboard that shows what the truck is processing, like if you're using the anti roll,
-speedlimiter that you can adjust yourself. Want to do an 80KP/h limit? Sure, enter the amount. Want to do 105 which is the fastest you can go on regular Source limitations with this Scania model? Sure, you can do that.
-tons of buttons that you can press that activates the above stuff.
I just realized that I used 7 hours on doing the stuff above. God dammit, I need to stop myself at some point. I think the main reason I'm adding all this stuff is because it's leight-weight and can all be parented. It's basically a way to get more fun out of your stuff without putting more strain on the server
Is there a trick to parenting to an arithmetic chip so that its very stable even though the parented props have a higher weight than it?
Saw Karbine hurl a winged tank out of a plane.
Figured "why not make a helicopter/vtol designed to carry a tank?"; then decided "why not make something that can carry just about anything?".
Hopefully I'll figure out how the hell to make it work... (I keep forgetting how incompetent I am at designing stuff that's in any way functional)
Interested? I'll get some great reference shots for you.
I've got the workings for a small Napier Deltic engine going. Just about to tackle the E2 coding for it.
It's not exactly the same as a real Napier Deltic because all of the crankshafts spin in the same direction instead of having one counter-rotate, but I think it's close enough. Once I get the feel for building these I'm going to make a larger 18 cylinder (36 piston) one and slap it in a train.
I bet you can guess what I drive. I'll give you a hint, it isn't a Prius
Little compound helicopter. Looks like a reject from C&C Generals. Easy to strafe because angles don't correspond necessarily to velocity, and because even though it only weighs like 2k, I already tried out putting 50mm cannons on the pods, and it flew fine, so that's pretty awesome.
Skimped on the cockpit to save props and becuase you usually can't see it anyway. Both sticks are holo and correspond to different inputs.
and some stupid shit.
